Bedtime Beauty Routine You Should Follow Before Going To Bed

Bedtime Beauty Routine Before Going To Bed

We are very much particular about how our skin looks and do every possible way to make it look young and vibrant by putting on a heavy make-up during the day but we often tend to neglect or forget the night time beauty rituals which are utmost important or basically a key to looking much younger and healthier for longer. Your skin comes in contact with innumerable array of things throughout the day which is responsible for causing damage to the skin by forming wrinkles and fine lines. But you can reverse this by taking good care of skin and hair during the night. A good night’s sleep plays a huge role in keeping our skin in good health. You all must be wondering how? In this post, I am sharing a bedtime beauty routine which if you follow religiously, you will wake up looking refreshed and gorgeous.

Sleep is a restorative and regenerative process. When we sleep, our body produces a growth hormone which aids in cell and tissue repair. Cellular renewal of our skin is faster at night than during the day. But only a good night’s sleep is not good enough for a healthy skin until and unless we put in some little bit of effort. So, if you really want to have younger-looking beautiful skin, scroll down!

Bedtime Beauty Routine- CLEANSING MILK

Apply all over your face and neck using your fingers. After some time, remove the cream from your face completely using a cotton swab. It cleanses the skin from all the dust and germs that we come across during the day and makes the skin soft and supple. RAW MILK works wonders as a facial cleanser, you can use that if you want to.

Once this has been done you can then go in and wash your face with a face wash.

Face Wash Before Bed

FACE WASH

In case your skin is oily, you can directly go for a face wash first.

Make-up acts like a magnet for all the outside elements from the day like dirt, dust, pollution etc. and going to bed with make-up on is like sending a cordial invite to various skin problems like clogged pores of the skin which leads to large pores, acne and irritated skin. Washing your face is essential because if you don’t wash, the bacteria will have a lot of time and a perfect environment to multiply and damage your skin. It not only removes the layer of dirt, sweat and other foreign debris that has accumulated on your skin while you go about your daily routines but allows your skin to breathe.

If you are too tired and don’t feel like washing your face before going to bed, make it a practice to wash it off when you get back home from work so you don’t wind down and make lame excuses. Remember, “Earlier is better than never!”

TONER

It is really good for people with oily or acne-prone skin. Those with dry or normal skin should never use toners containing alcohol.

Apply a small amount of toner to a soft cotton ball and wipe your face. It not only shrinks or tightens the pores but also restores the natural pH balance of the skin and makes you feel refreshed. It removes any residue left behind by your cleanser. If you want a natural one, ROSEWATER is the best option for you.

MOISTURISER

After toning, your skin may feel stretched, so better to hydrate with a good moisturiser. I have seen many ladies who tend to ignore their neck but in reality, it needs more attention. Let’s not spoil a beautiful facial complexion with a dry and roughneck.

Your beautiful hands can multiply your attractiveness, make sure to touch them up with a good layer of moisturiser, not to forget your feet, knees and elbows too.

Dry skinned beauties should use a good heavy moisturiser according to their skin type, whereas those with combination or oily skin, use water-based one. If you are blessed with normal skin, you can use either a water-based moisturiser or a heavy one. It makes your skin supple and prevents it from drying out.

UNDER EYE CREAM

The skin around your eyes is very thin and sensitive. It is the first area to show signs of ageing. Incorporating the best vitamin E enriched under eye cream into your before-bed beauty regime is a simple way to maintain a youthful-looking appearance. It makes the fine lines and wrinkles less visible. It works better when it is cold to prevent dark circles and under-eye bags.

SILK PILLOWCASE

Silk comes from animals and contains amino acids that are friendly to human skin. It works magic on your skin and hair too if you sleep over a silk pillowcase. It helps your skin in maintaining its natural moisture and allows it to glide whereas cotton scratches and tugs on delicate facial skin, resulting in sleep-crease. I myself use a silk pillowcase and believe me it has an amazing benefits. It actually fights the signs of ageing. It reduces friction on your hair which often causes damage like split ends and prevents tangles and breakage.

If you prefer to sleep over cotton than make a habit of changing or washing your pillowcase after a few alternative days.

BRUSH AND FLOSS

Make it a ritual before bed to brush your teeth for about 2 minutes. Brushing is important for reasons beyond fresh breath, it keeps your mouth free of germs, cavities and infections. Do this on a daily basis to enjoy beautiful pearly white teeth smile every morning.

SOFTEN YOUR POUT

Don’t forget to apply a LIP BALM that will moisturize your lips while you sleep. Make sure to cover your lips entirely, especially the corners as they get very dry. It will make your lips smooth and supple when you wake up. Instead of lip balm, you can go for honey as well. If you continue this practice for a couple of weeks, you will notice a change in your lip colour.

PUT YOUR HAIR BACK LOOSELY

If you don’t want to spend a lot of time fixing your hair in the morning, it would be better to braid your hair or pin it up into a loose bun which prevents the untidy knots and tangles. Make sure to keep your hair off your face as you sleep to keep its natural oils from wreaking havoc on your skin.
