High-Fibre Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie: Recipe

Healthy Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie

Do you love the combo of chocolate and peanut butter? Of course yes, who would say no to this! Today I am going to share a recipe of chocolate peanut butter smoothie which is delicious and healthy. It is highly fibrous, not overly sweet, keeps you satiated, and boosts your energy for the day.

One secret ingredient which makes this smoothie highly fibrous is ‘Psyllium Husk.’ Derived from the Plantago ovata plant, the husk of psyllium seeds is an excellent way to supplement dietary fiber without additional calories. As it comes from a seed, it is naturally gluten-free and grain-free. Moreover, it thickens the smoothie so well!

INSTRUCTIONS

Add all ingredients into the blender and blend on high until thick and smooth. Taste and adjust flavors as per your choice. You can add more bananas or dates for sweetness, cacao for a chocolate flavor, and if you love stronger peanut butter taste, add more of it. There are many ways to play around with this simple smoothie. Pour into a glass and drink quickly when it’s fresh as psyllium in it has a tendency to swell up and develop a gel-like texture. In case you want a thicker pudding-like texture to be eaten with a spoon, let your blended smoothie sit in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes.
