This “dusky” – skinned beauty from Bengal is known for her flawless beautiful skin, almond shaped big eyes and silky dark raven locks. But what does she do to maintain her gorgeous looks? FOR GLOWING FACE

Bipasha Basu has a beautiful, smooth, dusky skin. It has a good texture but tendency to go dry. So for moisturizing her face, she believes in using all the natural products like Malai, Aloe Vera, Almond paste and Cocoa butter.

She uses an Organic Face Scrub once in every 15 days! She washes her face daily with an organic face wash.

Beautiful Bipasha believes in CTM (Cleansing, Toning, Moisturising) routine and this is a beauty ritual that she follows without fail every night before going to bed. She trusts this routine to keep her skin free of any makeup, dirt, and chemicals.

When she is not working, she keeps her skin free of make-up and totally avoids it. And removal of makeup before going to bed is mandatory according to her.

FOR BEAUTIFUL EYES

The Bong Bombshell applies almond oil under her eyes daily before going to sleep to keep the sensitive skin around the eye area properly moisturized, thus preventing signs of aging like wrinkles and crow’s feet. This also reduces under eye dark circles and puffiness.

FOR SOFT LIPS

Bipasha never forgets to moisturize her lips with Kiehl’s Lip Balm which contains free radical fighters vitamins A and E. She says everyone should use a lip balm with SPF 15 during winters!

She recommends using lip scrub for people with extremely dry lips. Bipasha, herself prefers to use almond oil on her lips and leave it overnight. This really helps in preventing chapped lips and give lips a silky smooth finish and subtle shine.

FOR HEALTHY SHINY HAIR

Regular hot oil massage the night before shampoo and deep conditioning are the secrets to her naturally healthy and thick hair.

She carries out an organic hair care routine every once in a while to make sure her tresses are soft and supple. For free-flowing healthy waves, she uses protein packs once a month in her hair. Dandruff might mess with the skin so she prefers to use anti-dandruff shampoo and alcohol-free soft conditioners that keep her hair manageable and in control.

MUST BEAUTY RITUALS

The bold and beautiful Bipasha is very particular about her beauty regime.

  • Just like all the other fashionistas, hydration is one thing she maintains strictly. The Bong beauty starts her day with 4-5 glasses of lukewarm water and makes sure to drink lots of water throughout the day. Bipasha also eats almonds, soaked in water overnight, in the morning. She claims it is her simple home recipe for a healthy and naturally glowing skin.
  • She eats food rich in omega 3 fatty acids as it works wonders for the skin and makes it naturally glowing and flawless. Some of her recommendation includes fish which she says keeps her skin smooth and shiny,  fresh fruits and crisp vegetables, boiled most of the times and nuts which are filling and mouth savory.
  • She says hot water bath removes the moisture and dries out the skin so strictly avoid it. Even in winters, she takes a shower in lukewarm water. Soon after her bath, she applies a thin film of after shower oil or a good moisturizer containing Vitamin E on the body to keep the skin soft and supple.
  • The Bengali beauty makes sure she is wearing a sunscreen, no matter what the season. She says that one should use an effective sunblock and that she never leaves her house without using a good sunblock to prevent sun damage. In one of her interviews, she told the Times of India that she thinks it’s crucial to “spend on quality beauty products” instead of buying those that are cheaply made.
  • It’s important to get “minimum of 7-8 hours of sleep a day” in order to “look fit and beautiful” – Bipasha told this to Female First Magazine.
